The Cardano Foundation is accelerating the development of decentralized applications (DApps) on Cardano (ADA) with the help of EMURGO.
In a new announcement, the Cardano Foundation will work with Cardano’s commercial arm, EMURGO, to develop a new toolkit to help developers support, sustain, and accelerate the growth of the DApp within the ADA ecosystem. ..
Frederic Griegard, CEO of the Cardano Foundation, said of the project:
“The development of this toolkit, in partnership with EMURGO, will enable a vibrant and comprehensive ecosystem for the development of third-party smart contracts on Cardano.
This is the first in a series of open source architectures that we are studying and we are excited to take it forward now.
We want to provide tools and support to the community to ensure we support future architects. “
The project is laid out in two phases, MVP1 and MVP2, built, maintained and implemented by Five Binaries, a Czech Republic-based infrastructure developer focused on the Cardano ecosystem.
The first phase of the project is the development of a modular toolkit that includes a simple back-end that serves as a proof of concept.
In the second phase of the project, Cardano wants to open the door to the developers of the Cardano ecosystem.
“In Phase 2 MVP2, the Cardano Foundation will reach out to various projects and partners across the ecosystem and publicly invite them to contribute to the project.
At this point, every pull request to add a new adapter or backend must follow the project’s programming guidelines, including testing. “
Cardano recently “wake up” and faced the sideways market, posting a 27% rise last week. ADA was trading at $1.45 at the time of writing and down 2.75% in the last 24 hours.
