It was another volatile week for the stock markets. The Sensex ended the week down 3.1% while Nifty stock fell 2.9%.

Globally, other Asian markets came under heavy selling pressure. While the major European indexes also ended the week in negative territory.

US markets closed the swing week on a positive note. S&P 500 and Dow post weekly gains for the first time in 2022.

All sectoral indices except Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty Bank ended the week in the red.

Things to watch out for this week:

All eyes this week will be on February 1st when the Finance Minister will present the Union Budget.


The IPO of Vedant Fashions, owner of Manyavar will open for subscription on February 4, with a set price range between Rs. 824 – 866. The initial public offering will close on February 8.
